In the last hours before he was crucified, Jesus prayed to God for togetherness among his disciples that would make us effective in pursuing the tasks he has assigned to us. We all will have opportunities to make this prayer a reality—whether in our church, at our workplaces, our neighborhoods or apartment buildings, on our campuses, and more—with the other believers God brings into our lives. It’s possible he’s done so for a kingdom purpose. But it’s not easy, and lots of things can cause us to be hesitant to move forward.
