Episode Synopsis

In this unique concert, premiere vocal ensemble The Fitzhardinge Consort draw inspiration from a range of different traditions to explore grief through music and spoken word. Led by Samir Savant (CEO of St Georges Bristol), the programme ranges from Russian Orthodox and Renaissance Catholic and Anglican music to African American spirituals and jazz classics. The event was produced in partnership with the Good Grief Festival and the University of Bristol, as part of a research project on grief and creativity led by Lesel Dawson with Lucy Selman.
