Jonathan Holloway is the new president of Rutgers University. He is also the first Black president of New Jersey’s largest public university in its long 254 year history. President Holloway is facing many important challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, student, faculty and societal activism on key issues like racism, diversity, equality and inclusion, as well as seeking to educate and employ students and faculty from NJ and the rest of America, as both stakeholder groups will soon flip with minorities becoming the majority population.
