Listen "S2-E9--John 10:12-21--Jesus as the Good Shepherd will die for both Jews and Gentiles"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textIn this episode, we continue our study of chapter 10 of the Book of John; specifically, verses 12-21. Jesus is still using the analogy of the shepherd and the sheep to explain to the Pharisees, and those listening, that He is the Good Shepherd. Jesus tells them that unlike the Good Shepherd, a hired hand (the religious leaders) will look after the sheep as long as he is getting some benefits and is not in danger. But He, as the Good Shepherd, will lay down his life for His sheep. Jesus also tells them that there are other sheep (the Gentiles) that are not of that sheep pen (the Jews) that He will save too. In other words, Jesus is telling them that He came to die for both Jews and Gentiles.
