Joann's late husband Richard had an aortic aneurysm rupture and barely made it through surgery. She spent weeks in ICU with him, and he finally got better and went to physical rehab for 3 weeks. The day after he got home, he had a stroke. Back to the hospital they went. This happened more than once, he would come home and go right back in. After almost 3 months in and out of the hospital, the doctors finally discovered he had stage 4 lung cancer that was causing all the blood clots. He was placed on hospice and only lived 3 days after that. It all happened extremely fast.
