Danni's Mum was diagnosed with a rare gynaecological cancer in 2010 after being significantly let down by the medical system. After a 2 year cancer ordeal, surgery, chemo, radiation, she died in January, 2012. She was 54 years old. In her early 20s Danni found herself feeling extremely isolated and turned to a relatively unused platform in Facebook where she was very descriptive in the type of person she was wanting to connect with. As fate would have it, Danni connected and then met in real life with her now best friend and business partner Eloise and together they created Motherless Daughter Australia. MDA is a not for profit organization for women seeking support from other women who have lost their Mothers.
