One of the primary issues or problems Paul is addressing in Philippians is conflict resolution. Two women, who are otherwise not significant in Scripture, are referenced because of their dispute.
Two Women
Paul urges someone, who is simply called “true companion,” to help them resolve their conflict. Paul goes on to explain the keys to conflict resolution. Paul is very direct but loving and gracious in this section of the letter. We would do well to learn from his instructions to these two women and the church at Philippi.
Unity
Among the problems Paul is addressing in this letter, the need for unity is significant. Isn’t it amazing how cold and even cruel Christians can be to each other. This has no place among believers. So, please enjoy this rich, practical, and weighty episode of Relentless Truth.
