Though already exposed to performing arts through The Dance Theater of Harlem, having participated in an album recording and having already appeared on television, she focused on the academic side of the school program. She has experience in nonprofit management, banking, retail, politics and entrepreneurial ventures. She is currently focused on rebuilding one of her companies while helping those across the nation in need of credit restoration and financial literacy.
