“Imposter Syndrome refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be.
To put it simply, it is the experience of feeling like a phony—you feel as though at any moment you are going to be found out as a fraud—like you don't belong where you are, and you only got there through dumb luck.
While impostor syndrome is not a recognized disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V), it is not uncommon.
Since the 70’s, it has been recognized as more widely experienced, and it is estimated that 70% of people will experience at least one episode of this phenomenon in their lives.” Source
It is also to be mentioned that Jake and Sara do not claim to be experts in this area.
