A cancer diagnosis can present itself as a thick dark cloud upon one's life. It also carries with it an immensely strong reminder of our human mortality. It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom, though.In recent years, horses have been an integral part of life for Alyssa and Jason, alike. They believe horses have a unique ability to take part in the journey of life - including the ability to help us heal - emotionally, physically or otherwise. In this session, Alyssa and Jason talk about cancer.They discuss Jason's diagnosis of a rather slow-progressing type of leukemia called Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. This heartfelt talk between dad and daughter exposes some of their fears and weaknesses, while also some of the positive aspects a cancer diagnosis can bring about in life.
