The RWO team sat down for a conversation with Matias Spektor. Matias is a Professor at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. He is one of the leading IR scholars of the Global South and his work has appeared in leading outlets including Nature Communications, the Journal of Global Security Studies, and the Journal of Peace Research, amongst other reputable places. We spoke to Matias about his intellectual journey, his current projects, and his advice for budding scholars of international relations. This was a really fun episode to record and we hope it is equally as fun to listen to.
