Listen "Solving Wicked Problems with Dr. Sonny Magana"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, Dr. Sonny Magana, a pioneer in educational technology research, shares insights from his book, Disruptive Classroom Technologies: A Framework for Innovation in Education, that features his T3 Framework for Innovation that includes a hierarchy of three domains (Translational, Transformational and Transcendent) that serve as a highly reliable model for enhancing modern instructional practice. Dr. Magana also dispels the myth that technology alone leads to improved student achievement as a generation of “Digital Natives” are falsely perceived to have the innate ability to learn independently through enhanced technology tools. Instead, Dr. Magana cites evidence that students today need trained teachers that understand the process of learning to help kids solve "wicked problems" and shift the narrative about real learning outcomes in the classroom.
