The Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8 that the Believers will receive power because of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, this shows that the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer is the factor of power. If you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you (ye) have received the power (miracle working ability) of God into your life. You need to use the power, that is all you need to do: USE THE POWER. A good example of using the power is found in Acts 3 when the Apostles Peter and John healed a man impotent in his feet. Peter said "such as I have...", he acknowledged that he received the power of God when the Holy Spirit came upon him, then he engaged the power when he said "In the name of Jesus of Nazareth rise up and walk". After the man was healed, the people around marvelled at the miracle, then Peter said it is not our power or holiness (right conduct) that healed him. What Peter was saying is, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that we received, and the holiness of Jesus given to us (when we became Born Again that made this possible). Peter did not generate the power, all he did was to use the power (with a sense of oneness with it) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the power of the Holy Spirit in us that guarantees that the sick will be healed when we give the command in Jesus name. It is very important to note that this power is for living life, not only for ministry assignment because the forces of evil trying to resist us are called principalities and powers, but the power of God in us destroys all their gimmicks and tactics (because Jesus, to whom all power in heaven and in earth is given already defeated them), and we have received that power in the Person of the Holy Spirit. USE THE POWER! USE THE POWER!! USE THE POWER!!! AMEN.
