Listen "Marked by God"
Episode Synopsis
Send us your questions and reflections! On Day 10 of our Advent journey, we reflect on the first Passover in Exodus 12 and the New Testament connection in 1 Corinthians 5:7. Just as the Israelites were marked by the blood of the lamb to experience freedom, Jesus is our ultimate Passover Lamb, setting us apart and securing our salvation.Waiting well, as this episode explores, is not passive. It means living marked by God’s presence — letting our thoughts, actions, and priorities reflect Christ’s sacrifice while we anticipate His promises. The Israelites prepared actively, smeared the blood on their doorposts, and ate the lamb ready to move. In the same way, Advent calls us to participate in God’s rescue, practicing obedience, readiness, and visible faith in our daily lives. This episode includes a practical exercise — a modern “marking of the doorposts” — to help you reflect on God’s presence and cultivate a heart ready to respond. Waiting well means living expectantly, with hope, trust, and the confidence that God is actively at work in and through us.
