This week, I had a conversation with one of my kids about failure. It was clear to me that my child was being so hard on themselves. They were trying to be perfect and wish to never make mistakes. I explained to my kid, it's ok to make mistakes. Then, I realized something...Why do we not give ourselves this same amount of grace and understanding?Even as adults, we hold onto our expectations so tightly that we are almost setting ourselves up for disappointment.
