Listen "Persistence in Prayer - Luke 18:1-8"
Episode Synopsis
Whatever it is, you’ve asked the Lord, pleaded with Him, time and time again...to no avail. No answer. Sometimes you wait in hope. Other times doubt and fear roll in like storm clouds so thick they block out the sun
and you battle with that sense of discouragement of doubting the value, purpose and meaning of prayer. For all of us, from the seasoned prayer warrior to the faltering beginner Jesus has this great encouragement in Luke 18:1-8.
This is a bit of an odd story, one that we could get wrong if we are not careful,
It’s a parable, a story, made up by Jesus to teach a point. But unlike a lot of the parables we are most familiar with this is a parable of contrast.
The parable doesn’t show us what God is like.
It shows us what God is NOT!
