As the Israelites enter this season of darkness… they can trust God, because He has shown Himself faithful in the past.
They can look at His track record and have confidence into the darkness
What causes you to fear?
To doubt God’s goodness?
When do you feel like the darkness has set in and you just don’t know how to trust God?
Look back.
It might be fuzzy in the present. It might hard to see from your current perspective how this could possibly be part of God’s plan? How this could ever work out for good? Before you try to untangle the present, take a good look at the past. How has God been faithful in the past? What trials and times of doubt and fear has He already brought you through? Has He ever let you down? Has He ever abandoned you in the past? I’ll tell you, He has not!
