What does Jesus look for in a healthy church? He desires and demands purity, faithfulness, and right doctrine. But while these are marks of a healthy church, any body of believers that has these in spades yet lacks love actually lacks Christ’s seal of approval as well. We must constantly be aware of the necessity of love, actively look back to the love we had at first, and humbly turn away from our sin and return to Christ, who is himself the definition and example of love.
