The first four chapters of Romans have been driving to a specific point that culminates in the final word of chapter four, “justification”. From this point the next four chapters are going to be expounding and building upon the implications of justification. We can rejoice in the hope of the glory of God even in the middle of situations that we would rather avoid, or even deem as “bad situations”. Jesus is in control, and He loves you, therefore you can have hope even through tribulations. There is more for you in Christ after justification. Another way to put it is that justification gets you in the door so that you have access to many more glorious riches through perseverance, character, and hope.
