Nearly all people live by a code, or a set of morals and values that govern the way they make decisions. The mere presence of this code can deceive the human heart  into seeing sinfulness in others while justifying itself. This is especially true of those who live with a religious moral code. The truth is, though, that the inability to see your own sinfulness does not make you good, it just makes you blind. Pride conceals your own failure while magnifying theirs. This pride is extremely dangerous as it will keep you from repentance, from recognizing your sin, and from the reality of your desperate state. God alone belongs in the position of judge, because He alone is the righteous judge. Will you allow your pride to die as you submit to Jesus in humility?
