The genealogy of Jesus is one of the sections of Matthew that we tend to overlook or skim over at best, and yet God has so much more for us if we will take a look. When we consider who God allowed to be in the family line of Jesus, it is mind blowing. A genealogy gives us a sense of history, a sense of identity, and a sense of destiny and this is exactly what is revealed to us through the family line of Jesus. He was born just like every other baby, and also unlike any other baby. Jesus’s birth is simultaneously very normal, and very supernatural. He did not just come into the world, He was sent on a rescue mission to seek and save you. Will you put your faith in Jesus?
