Listen "Stronger Together: Unity, Conscience, and Christian Love (Romans 14:15-23)"
Episode Synopsis
Romans 14 calls us to something deeper than winning arguments: unity in the Gospel, grace in disputable matters, and love that puts others’ spiritual good ahead of our personal freedoms. In this message, we look at the conflicts in the early church (food laws and idol meat) and connect them to our modern flashpoints—politics, parenting, dress, media, and more. Paul’s counsel is clear: obey your conscience, respect others’ autonomy, let Scripture retrain your conscience, and choose love over liberty when your freedom might make a brother or sister stumble (Romans 14:4–5, 13–23; 14:21).“The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17)
