How we respond matters. Taking an honest look at how we are responding is critical.For months we have been engaging the Gospel of Luke, and over and over Luke has been showing us pictures of Jesus. He offers these images so that we could experience what Jesus is like, so we could hear Jesus’ teaching. Luke has also given us windows to observe how people are responding to Jesus whether religious leaders, simple fishermen, or even the notorious. Now the lens turns to the reader. How are we responding? What are we doing with what we have seen and heard from Jesus? This is the power of Jesus’ parables. They force us to ask questions. They invite reflection. What do we see?
