Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!This week I wanted to talk about what I appreciate the most about the PC as a platform for video games. As both Microsoft and Sony are increasingly including the PC in their future platform plans, it looks more and more likely that the PC is the place you will want to be to get the best of all worlds. PCs have become more and more of a super platform as a results, as your PC can be capable of all the console experiences you love, as well as experimental and complex new ideas you cannot find on a traditional console. It is also very adaptable too, from being played at your desk, to being played from the comfort of your couch & TV, to being played on the go with your Steam Deck or ROG Ally, the PC as a platform can be whatever you prefer it to be.
