Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. At this time of year, many gamers want to play spooky games, either for fun or for scares. There are tons of games out there that will fill either need very well. When I set out to make a list of the best games to play at Halloween, I had a difficult time organizing what games were best for the season based on the fact that some gamers want something more light, fluffy and filled that Halloween theme nicely, but lacked in the scare department. Whereas other players are most certainly looking to be filled with dread, and experience those games that fuel our nightmares! So I decided to make 2 lists - one list of best games to play at Halloween for fun and another list of best games to play at Halloween for fear! I think this was the best way to handle it - let me know if my approach was the right one or not.
