Isaiah prophesied that a light would come into the world to save God's people. During Isaiah's time there were wars and conflicts occurring around the Israelite nation. The people believed this light would save them from these conflicts.
Our world today is no different - there are wars and armed conflicts everywhere, but this light is not going to save us from these conflicts. Instead, Jesus, the Light Of The World, will save us from God's wrath. We rejoice in this not only at Christmas but every single day.
