Christ is risen, and he’s ready for dinner! The fact that Jesus continues to enjoy God’s gift of food post-resurrection proves the eternal significance of meals.

"The risen Christ eats. The Son of Man came eating and drinking (Luke 7:34). And still the Son of Man eats. The physicality of Jesus is not cancelled by the resurrection. His humanity doesn’t morph into some ethereal existence. In the heretical Gnostic Gospels, written centuries after the resurrection, the risen Christ is a ghostly figure. But in the true Gospels, he can be touched. He can eat. And he does so publicly. The resurrection of Jesus is the promise and beginning of the renewal of all things..."
