Chelsea have lost their grip on the top of the table. In losing to West Ham at the weekend, the door was opened for Manchester City and Liverpool to leapfrog Chelsea - which they did. Looking at the bottom of the table, Newcastle grabbed their first win of the season, taking them up to 19th position on 10 points. In fact, all three teams in the relegation zone are tied on 10 points, with the 16th place team Watford on 13 points; so the relegation battle is very much up in the air.
