Episode Synopsis "Winston October - Wide Receivers Coach & Pass Game Coordinator, Edmonton Eskimos"

Today we're going to be talking with Coach Winston October. Undersized and under-recruited out of high school, Winston shares some fascinating stories with us on how he turned doubt into motivation.  Winston currently serves as the Receivers Coach and Pass Game Coordinator for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. It has been quite a road to get to where he is; And after talking with him, I can tell you that he definitely isn't done. When Winston was young he moved around quite a bit as an Army brat, eventually settling in Woodbridge, VA for his freshman year of high school. After claiming Gar-Field High School's first ever Virginia state championship and quite a decorated football career, Winston earned a full scholarship to the University of Richmond where he continued to excel.  During his time with the Spiders, Winston helped lead a very special group of men, who put Richmond football on the map. On the field Winston was a force to be reckoned with, having been named 4x All-Conference, an All American, and capturing the Atlantic 10 Championship. Winston entered the NFL draft as the #4 ranked Defensive Back in his class. Once again he was overlooked... And once again he used it as motivation.
