Listen "The Gravel Road To Oz: Perseverance On Unexpected Paths"
Episode Synopsis
Sometimes life’s path feels more like a gravel trail. I stop often to dump the pebbles out of my shoes, frustrated and tired, wondering where it's leading. But when there’s a break in the trees, the Land of Oz is shimmering ahead of me. My recovery has taught me not to let the path itself stop my perseverance. When I don’t get what I want, it can feel like a huge loss. And yet, there is gratitude there if I seek it.I get to choose which feelings I feed. I choose behaviors that feed love, hope, and connection. That includes course correcting when I feel myself slipping into fear or frustration. In sobriety I’ve learned to love better through action.
