Listen "The Episode About Nothing: An Empty Tank"
Episode Synopsis
I talk a lot in today’s podcast episode and say a lot about nothing. Yet that nothingness is where the real work happens for me. I’m feeling sorry for myself that I can’t do simple things that others can do because of my disability. But I know that when my emotional tank flashes empty and my inspiration sputters, I still have one reserve: a power greater than myself. It is that which keeps me recording and uploading because this isn’t all about me. It’s about all of us that have good days and bad days and need to know we aren’t alone.I have the smallest daily choices that are not headline-worthy that prove how bad I want freedom from self today? I answer by caring for myself with sobriety meetings, podcast episodes, physical therapy appointments, and opening my mouth when everything in me tells me to stay quiet. So yes, like a classic Seinfeld episode, today’s episode is about nothing, but somehow it says everything I needed for today.Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts and YouTube.
