Listen "I Am A Miracle, And So Are You"
Episode Synopsis
When we think about miracles, some of us might picture divine intervention. But let's broaden the scope a bit. Miracles can be thought of as “all the planets have aligned.” I say that all the time. Miraculous healing and hope can also seem to come from just an unrelenting human spirit. Miracles are woven into our stories, good and bad, no matter their size.
In this bonus video, I discuss 5 reasons why I'm convinced that we are are all miracles: survival, capacity to change, hope, inspiration for others, and joy. Taking inspiration from an adorable blind #catvideo I saw on @instagram , I discuss how we are all cradling one another. Join me for just three minutes to explore how you are a miracle!
About me:
Rachel Abbassi, a stroke survivor and gratefully recovering alcoholic, has marked seven years of sobriety. Recently, her journey has taken an unexpected turn, revealing severe post-stroke symptoms that were initially perceived as neurological vision impairment. However, upon further understanding, these challenges seem related to a vestibular disorder. This newfound realization has redirected her path towards a renewed focus on rehabilitation.
Amidst these changes, Rachel made a conscious decision to document her recovery journey through the medium of her voice. The Recovery Daily Podcast embodies Rachel’s approach to life—an unwavering focus on the possibilities that lie ahead rather than dwelling on what she has lost. Her belief is simple: sharing her experience, strength, and hope can be a catalyst for profound healing in both herself and others.
Join Rachel as she navigates this transformative journey through recovery, embracing the lessons learned, the resilience discovered, and the joy surfaced in every step forward.
