Rebinging Star Trek DS9: The Quickening
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 23: The Quickening where Bashir and Dax land on a Gamma Quadrant planet overcome by an artificially created virus called the blight. Bashir can't just ignore the needs of the sick people that he sees and he jumps in to save the day. Well...that's not exactly what happens. Join us for a discussion of (maybe) the most depressing episode of Star Trek in Trek history.
The Quickening
You know how we keep saying that nothing good ever happens in the gamma quadrant? Well...welcome to another terrible planet where terrible things happen! And Bashir drops in to help and makes things oh so much worse! Bashir and Dax find that the Dominion has essentially destroyed the people of this planet who were feeling a little too superior by cursing them with an incurable disease. Everyone has it and the infrastructure has completely crumbled and this is the planet where hope dies.
What's this rebinge thing?
