Many peaceable people have a tendency to be silent people. In this podcast episode, Shirley makes a plea for humanity in the face of global atrocities, and widespread tragedy. She poses the question of whether individual reinvention is the one thing you can do, and the only thing you have direct control of, that will contribute to a world where abuse of power, division and hatred ceases to be the common default. You could stand as a role model, if nothing else, become a voice prepared to be heard, not in anger, but in solidarity, to say, "No more. I will not stand aside in silence while we destroy one another and the planet we live on."
