“Between Lines & Notes is an immersive live performance that merges meditative ambient soundscapes with the delicate spontaneity of real-time drawing on paper. This collaboration unfolds as a sensory dialogue between sound and line, a contemplative experience where each tone resonates with movement, and each stroke echoes the pulse of silence. Audiences are invited into a space of stillness and presence, where time slows down and the boundaries between listening and seeing begin to dissolve. This project explores the intersection of sound, gesture, and visual rhythm. Re:Axis crafts expansive, evolving sonic environments, textured layers of tone and resonance that evoke both intimacy and vastness.
Meanwhile, Nettie Burnett responds live through drawing, translating sound into organic forms and textures. Her gestures, captured in real time on paper and projected for the audience, become an extension of the music, ephemeral yet deeply human. Together, they create a live dialogue between two languages: one auditory, one visual, both guided by intuition and momentary flow. The result is a shared meditation in motion, where art is not performed at the audience, but with them.”
