Today, we're doing something different. This episode is more than just conversation it's kinda like a testimony. It's the beginning of a brand-new sermon and devotional series: ABIDE: Staying Connected to Jesus. At the end of each year, around November, I ask God to reveal a word to hold me down for the year ahead. It’s a word that speaks to where He’s leading me, shaping my faith, and challenging my growth. But last year… everything changed…like super fast! I lost my mother suddenly. I was voted in as the new pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Frederick. I was thrown into one of the most intense seasons of my life!! It was the best of times and the worst of times all at the same time! I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and stretched beyond what I thought I could handle! But check this tho… on Resurrection Sunday, God reminded me of my word of the year: ABIDE.
