Episode 79 - Going Supernatural
Is God intention for us to just be natural women and men? I read an article by Jackie Hill Perry about her spiritual journey to God that included moving beyond being a lesbian (here’s a link). The words of this article jumped out at me, especially a passage relating to Romans 1:26-27 this scripture speaks against what goes against nature or what is deemed as natural according to God’s design. It’s funny we KNOW gays are wrong because we can clearly see it breaks what visually can be seen as God’s design for fleshly bodies, but what is God’s design for the spirit? Going against the spiritual nature God designed is just as abominable as going against the physical nature God designed. Since we know what God didn’t intend for our physical bodies, do we know what He intended for our spirits? That’s where our (Forrest Hall & Philip Hall) conversation goes this week, God’s plan for us is bigger than the natural now. His plan started with the first Adam, but it doesn’t end there. If to not look like the first Adam is an abomination, then what is it to not look like the last Adam? We may have started in the natural, but it’s time to move to the supernatural. Everyone talks about going natural, just like the church thinks fondly of going back to the “old time way”…it’s time we go supernatural. Thankful for the article and I hope this conversation builds on it in a fruitful way.
