Listen "Episode 128: Noelle Moa (Ula&HerBrothers)"
Episode Synopsis
| | Taking Pacific Art into the Community | |
This week on Episode 128 of the #ReadswithRosaPodcast, I finally get an opportunity to sit down with Sāmoan artist & print maker, Noelle, the owner and creator behind small business @ulaandherbrothers. Her products are 100% hand-carved + handmade, and are available on her Etsy store. You only need to read the reviews to understand her customers appreciation of her professionalism and efficiency in dealing with orders, and the time, effort, and labour of love that she puts into her craft. @ulaandherbrothers is featured in an initiative run by @renewaustralia and @campbelltowncity, providing opportunities for local artists and creatives to have their artwork displayed in public spaces. Aside from running her small business, Noelle is also the founder and organizer of @maketi_moana, a Pasifika Makers Market which showcases handmade handcrafts by small businesses and creatives. One of the goals of Maketi Moana is to foster and install a love of the visual arts especially in young Pasifika people, whilst also showing appreciation for Pasifika makers, creatives and small businesses in Sydney.
Tune in to hear more about this amazing mama’s journey! Noelle is a woman on a mission, striving to build her community one step at a time, and uplift her fellow Pacific creatives along the way.
