Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of Leviticus.
This is episode #02 Numbers chapters 3 & 4.
Numbers Chapter 3, This chapter is about the family of Aaron and Moses, particularly when God spoke to him at Mount Sinai. Aaron’s sons were Nadab, Abihu, Ithamar and Eleazar. They were all supposed to be priests, but Nadab and Abihu died before they were ordained by God. They did not have any sons. Ithamar and Eleazar served as priests throughout their father’s life.
Numbers Chapter 4, deals with a census of the Kohathites and also centers on performing a census on two other tribes in the region. The chapter also discusses defining who will be responsible for various duties when moving the camp.
