In this episode we recapped the journey of the children of Israel this far. In Chapter 15 God reminded the new generation of the sacrifices they must submit once they enter the promised land. God is talking to the new generation because He had just past judgment on the old generation condemning them to die in the wilderness. In this Chapter we also see God’s penalty for someone who deliberately broke the law (it’s a capital offense). Then the end of the Chapter is where God tells them to put tassels on their clothes to remind them to obey God. Our reminder to obey God is His Holy Spirit who lives in us to lead, guide, and direct us. In Chapter 16 we began the sad story of Korah’s rebellion because he wanted Aaron’s position. We are reminded not to covet the calling or position of others.
