We discussed verse 13 thru the end of Chapter five, finishing the Chapter (we read Chapter 5 last week). What does a kingdom citizen look like? We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. God’s law is not done away with, it is now a part of us, written in our hearts when we accept Jesus. We can’t be like the scribes and Pharisees who thought they could make it to heaven by being good enough and following all the laws. As kingdom citizens we will resolve our conflicts before they get out of hand. We will not allow ourselves to be hindered by watching things on TV or on social media we should not be watching. As Kingdom citizens, we don’t want to do anything that does not please God (regarding plucking out the eye - what are we  looking at, and cutting off our right  hand - what  are  we  doing. If it is not pleasing to God, STOP IT). As kingdom citizens, we will love our enemies and those who are mean to us, and we will not retaliate. Everything Jesus is saying about us is like a mirror.
