In this episode we talked about how the soldiers mocked Jesus (at least 300 of them-the entire regiment). We also talked about how Jesus was crucified at 9:00 am on Friday. He had 7 final sayings on the cross, and he died at 3 pm. He was taken down from the cross on Friday evening before the Sabbath day started.
We talked about how the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom signifying that Jesus had just made the way for us to be reconciled back to God. Jesus made the way for us to walk and talk with our Heavenly Father again. We talked about how Jesus took our place and became sin for us. He took on all our guilt and shame forever and we have been declared ‘not guilty’ because of His shed blood.
