We talked about Abraham being tested to willingly sacrifice his son. We discussed  three events where Abraham had to obey God: 1. When he was told to leave everything he knew (Gen 12) 2. When he was told to circumcise his household (Gen. 17) 3. When he was told to sacrifice his son (22) We talked about why God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son. God wanted to see if Abraham loved and revered Him. Abraham passed the test. We made application to our lives. That God will require us to continue to offer up to him the gifts He gave us so that He will continue to get all the glory. What ever your gift is, remember God gave it to you, but we must continue to give all the glory back to God. We also talked about obedience being an act of worship. God is pleased with us when we are obedient to do whatever He tells us to do. God is a jealous God and He does not want us to put anything before Him, that includes the precious gifts He gave us.
