Listen "Deuteronomy Chapters 16:9 - 17:1, Episode 190"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode Moses continues to tell the Israelites that they will need to travel to the tabernacle three times a year to celebrate the feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. For the Israelites the Passover represented their deliverance from Egyptian slavery; Pentecost showed their joy and thanksgiving for God’s blessings and the harvest; and the feast of Tabernacles was to be celebrated so that they would remember their wilderness journey and how God was with them and kept them for 40 years. Although we are not required to celebrate these feasts, they have spiritual meanings for us. Passover for us would represent our salvation experience, Jesus delivered us from the bondage and slavery of sin. The feast of Pentecost represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which ushered in the Church age. In Acts Chapter 2, 3,000 souls were saved on the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit is still saving souls today. The feast of Tabernacles represents God dwelling with us. We rejoice that Jesus lives inside us. He promises that He will never leave us or forsake us. #canaan #moses #foryou #passover #pentecost #tabernacles @readingthroughthebiblewith3242
