A quick explanation of how the Old Testament and New Testament came to be.  The Bible books weren't so much "chosen" as they were put together from what was universally taught in Christian churches.  The King James Version became the most precise translation, and still is to this day, due to the way it was translated from the original texts.  It is one of the few Bibles that did not use previous translations.  A copy of a copy of a copy is bound to have errors and this is why the King ordered original translations and had it go through a rigorous editing process by world renown scholars proficient in the original Greek and Hebrew languages.The Bible is God's Word, and as such, it has been perfectly preserved through the ages.  It matters.Revelations 22:18-19  "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
