I took so long to edit this conversation because I just would NOT let John Purcell leave! I find him and his career absolutely fascinating. I absolutely loved The Lessons and think it would make an excellent summer read, the characters are all so meaty and the plot is all so fun! I loved hearing about the different books John has made a career in selling, his insights into the book industry, his writing process; I just could have kept chatting and chatting...The conversation does leave in the middle of a sentence, it probably was always going to be the only way the poor author was ever going to get off the call, I loved the conversation and just could not tear myself away! And to join our ReadA Book community head on over to www.readabook.com.au.
