This version of Three Black Boys - Three Black Book was edited by 5th grader Dorsey. The goal was to not only have students to speak on the podcast but to actively work on the editing and publishing. I love they way Dorsey chose background music that fit the theme of his book, and he chose music that played at a level that did not interfere with the speaking. I love that he added his own introduction and moved around parts to fit his style. I absolutely LOVED that he said he loved doing this. As educators, we want to produce creators not just consumers of knowledge.

Sometimes, we have to step out of the way and let kids do their thing.
