With the massive news this week of a new MLS team going into San Diego, I sat down with two of the leaders of the Mecklenburg Reserves, an independent supporters group of Charlotte Independence of USL League One. They give a supporters-eye view of some of the history and culture of soccer in Charlotte, how things have changed since dropping from USL Championship, and how to cope when a new MLS team comes to town.
