Where In The Hel Do You Think You're Going? A Lesson on Germanic Heathen Worldviews On Death. - Sunday, March 12th 2-4pm CST, Cason Trailhead Park, Murfreesboro, TN
The skaldic poem that I mention during this episode is called "Austrfararvísur". It mentions the Christian skald Sigvatr Þórðarson (995–1045 CE) as he traveled through Sweden on a diplomatic mission to jarl Ragnvald Ulfsson. While en-route he and his companions sought out a place to stay for the night. He was refused hospitality at three different heathen farmsteads because it was the sacred time of Álfablót and he was Christian. You can read about this passage of the poem, plus more via this link: https://www.aldsidu.com/post/the-elves-in-germanic-and-norse-heathenry
