Listen "GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT"
Episode Synopsis
I was commissioned to collaborate with one of the choreographers for the Joffrey Ballet's Winning Works program on an original 13 minute composition.
The choreographer, Marissa Osato, had a creative vision of exploring the tension between our inner realities and the shiny exterior personas we create. To express this idea, I structured a piece into three distinct sections that progressed from electronic dance, to ambient sound design and ended in a rich and romantic orchestral finale.
These sections represented the notion of your outward identity, the realization of this identity having no substance, and finally closure and optimism as you move on from this experience.
